One Point Five Plus shares stories of 1.5 to 2nd generation children of immigrants living in Los Angeles. A movement born out of the desire to share a common feeling of a split between two nations, loss of cultural identity growing up, and without a nation to fully rest in. Growing up, I looked at both the Korean flag and the American flag and felt a connection. Flags are a symbol of pride, representation, and unity but they are also used to separate and exclude. 12 friends and family members were invited to collaborate and create a unique flag with visual representations of their own experiences. Each flag created is unique to each collaborator's life, however the intention is to demonstrate unity within diversity.
